INTRO

Think global. Act local. That is the guiding vision of our Instagram campaign in Frankfurt. The campaign started in mid-November of 2020, where we presented well-known, popular start-ups and places around Frankfurt on our Instagram account @helixidofficial.

NEW INSTAGRAM REELS FOR OUR COMMUNITY

Frankfurt am Main

Our campaign took place in the heart of Germany’s Skyline City — in Frankfurt am Main. The city is colourful and known for its infinite diversity, which is reflected in the people, architecture, culture and gastronomy. Small-scale metropolis, Mainhattan or banking capital — Frankfurt am Main, the largest city in Hessen, has different names. In Frankfurt there are many museums, historical places, creative areas, not to forget the world-famous banking district and much more. This is exactly what we wanted to show the world with our campaign!

SINCE WHEN IS THE CAMPAIGN LIVE?

The HI Frankfurt campaign started on November 18th on our Instagram channel. The campaign ran for almost 1.5 months, until the end of 2020. Due to the successful implementation and the high demand from our Frankfurt local heroes, it will go further in summer 2021.

BEHIND THE SCENES

Who we are? As you already know, we are the Blockchain HELIX AG — a German blockchain technology start-up located in Frankfurt’s Bahnhofsviertel. The campaign is a joint initiative with our partner HI Frankfurt , the fashion brand for all Frankfurters and all international people.

THE VISION OF OUR CAMPAIGN

We want to provide Frankfurt’s start-ups a stage where we can support their project or company. And of course to boost our Instagram channel with unique content and to provide entertaining videos for our community. The “HI Frankfurt Campaign” should not only create short-term projects, but also good and sustainable partnerships. Because we believe in the power of networking!

OUR ACTION PLAN

“HI Frankfurt” hoodie

First we drew up a list of locals that we wanted to visit in our marketing team. By locals, we mean Frankfurt startups, such as app developer Mooveo or e-roller sharing Frank-e or coworking space SleevesUp!. Additionally, it could also be bars and catering establishments that we were unfortunately unable to visit due to Corona.

Then it finally started: we sent the campaign requests and then we had to wait for the answers. We actually didn’t have to wait long because the first feedback came on the same day. A lot of startups and locals were enthusiastic about our idea and really wanted to join our campaign.

So we made the most of the appointments in the first week. When it started — we only had to put on our wonderful and super comfortable “HI Frankfurt” hoodies and to make us on the way to our Frankfurt locals.

GREAT MEETINGS. AND THEN?

Instagram Reel for Frank-e

From each visit we created a 15–30 second reel for our Instagram channel, which our local heroes could also share on their page.

Our goal was to record either the product, the operation process or the daily routine of locals and to pack it in a short and exciting way. So everyone could promote what is important to them in the video.

GREAT RESULTS. LET’S KEEP IT MOVING

In total we created 14 reels, 5 posts and 15 stories during the campaign.

The numbers exceeded our expectations. Our reels received in total about 5,849 views, which means an average of 418 views per reel.

During this Christmas season we organized a competition for the HELIX community on our Instagram account. Our followers were able to win numerous items from HI Frankfurt, such as hoodies, mugs or backpacks. Our partners also contributed to the raffle, such as a weekly ticket from SleevesUp! or a voucher for a 6-month subscription for Swapfiets bikes from Mooveo.

COMMUNITY COLLECTION AVAILABLE IN THE HELIX ID MERCH

At the same time, our “helix id meets HI Frankfurt” — Merch was created. From now on all helix id fans can treat themselves to something from the helix id collection. If you also like our community hoodie, then take a look at our online shop and find out if there is something for you too.

POSITIVE OUTLOOK FOR THE FUTURE

Who knows what the year 2021 will bring? In any case, we will restart our local campaign in summer 2021. At the same time, we are continuing to expand our Instagram account with news on the topic of digital identity, insights about our app and our team, and other topics.
