How Fetch Works
We’ve been humbled by all of you who have signed up for early access to the Fetch beta and given us feedback. We’ve taken the feedback to heart and are incorporating as much as possible into the first version. As we get closer to the beta release later this summer, we wanted to share our progress and explain more about how Fetch will take the pain out of token trading.
Download and Go!
Once Fetch opens, you’re one click away from finding the best price on a token trade. No account import or creation required!
Our goal was to give you immediate benefits the first time you open Fetch. When Fetch launches, you’re greeted with a list of major tokens. See that handy ‘Trade’ button to the right of the token? Click it and you will see active trading rates on over 100 exchanges.
All of that fun and you don’t have to create or import an account to get there. See that shortcut at the top of the screen to create or import an account, click it and Fetch can show you your actual portfolio.
Simple Price Discovery
Easily compare trading rates from hundreds of exchanges, including transaction and network fees, regardless of type of exchange.
For a trading pair, Fetch grabs rates and fees from hundreds of exchanges and shows you the best rates for your trade. This includes all transaction and network fees you would incur and spans different types of exchanges — decentralized (IDEX, 0x relayers, EtherDelta, etc…), anonymous (Shapeshift and Changelly) and over 100 centralized (Coinbase, Kraken, etc…) exchanges. Whoa..that is awesome. You can finally put away that ridiculous spreadsheet showing 18 decimal places to figure this out on your own.
Hundreds of results is a bit of overkill for most of us. So Fetch shows you the best options at the top, giving you the key information quickly to make a decision.
Simple Trades
Execute trades with one click. Seriously, one click!
Once you’ve selected an exchange on which to complete a trade, you’ll see details of the transaction. Fetch wants to confirm everything with you before moving ahead.
At launch, Fetch will support automated trading on 0x Relayers, Shapeshift, Changelly, and IDEX. Remember, we will be integrating more exchanges all the time, so if your favorite exchange doesn’t have one click trading, reach out to us and let us know. The most popular requests move to the top of our list! We also respect that some people will want to make the trade themselves regardless of support in Fetch. So we make it simple to DIY no matter what.
Having Fetch execute the trade for you requires that you have created or imported an account. More details and screenshots on this another day, but rest assured it’s as easy to do as using the rest of Fetch.
Let’s assume you enjoy not spending all day to trade a token and ask Fetch to execute the trade. When you click Continue, you’ll be prompted to enter your password. Your keys are encrypted locally on your machine by Fetch and never sent across the network (or shared with us). So, your password is required to authorize the transaction. Simple and secure.
Once you’re done, Fetch does the work by automatically detecting network state and minimizing your fees to trade your token. You can keep tabs on the progress in real-time or check on the status anytime via the ‘Transactions’ option in the left navigation bar. Once complete, the resulting tokens will be in your account and appear in your portfolio. That’s it. Done.
Our goal is to make this whole process simple and intuitive. But everybody needs a helping hand from time to time. Anytime you want to dig into details or reach out to us for a hand, you’ll be able to click on the friendly Fetch dog in the lower left. This will give you context on the current step of the process or open a chat with our support team so you can get immediate help.
This summer we’re releasing Fetch. Sign up to for early access and follow us to stay updated on the journey.
