Sneak Peek at What’s Coming in Fetch
Today, Fetch already offers simple, one-click transactions on desktop and web. Soon, we’re rolling that same simplicity across any device, completely synchronized and able to be used to explore dApps.
Soon with Fetch, you’ll be able to:
- Use your same Fetch account to interact with any dApp out in the wide world of web3.
- Enjoy a simple and synchronized experience across across all your devices. Make a trade on your phone and get notified on your desktop. It’s crazy that today you use one app on your desktop, a different one on your phone and yet another to transact with dApps. Fetch is fixing this.
- Recover your Fetch account on any device. You can never lose access to your account and aren’t burdened to save confusing backup phrases, all while keeping your keys secure and private.
Here’s a bit more detail on how we’re doing it.
Browser Extension
The Fetch Extension (download now!) gives you all the power and simplicity of Fetch in your browser. Use it to manage your portfolio and also to transact with dApps like CryptoKitties, Airswap, Compound and others.
It can be used as a companion to Fetch on other devices or as your main Fetch account. This offers you one account to manage your portfolio, trade and use your account in web3. No more moving small amounts of ETH over to yet another wallet to use a dApp!
Next week, the extension will be released for Chrome and other browsers will follow shortly.
Mobile Apps
Fetch for mobile (Android & iOS) means you can use Fetch on any device, anywhere.
It brings all the simplicity of Fetch to your phone completely synchronized with Fetch on your other devices (more on that below).
So you’ll be able to make a one-click trade on your phone and receive a notification on your desktop later when it completes. Then fire up your Fetch browser extension and use those same funds to buy a collectible. Awesome!
Sync
Having Fetch on all these devices wouldn’t be very useful if each was disconnected from the others. Your Fetch account will be synchronized across platforms so that you have the latest information and history anywhere you use Fetch.
Want to check the details of the trade you made on your desktop last week? No problem, pick up your phone and fire up Fetch, it will all be there.
Account Recovery
Backup phrases and hex addresses are a thing of the past. Fetch account recovery is tied to your email address or phone number. You’ll be able to restore or sync your Fetch account with a simple code sent to an identity only you control and remove the anxiety about saving confusing backup phrases.
Account recovery is optional and never exposes your keys to Fetch or any other third parties.
