3 Lessons My Best Friends’ Relationships Taught Me
Learn with me, from them.
1. You need to hold on to your separate selves
My friends haven’t lost sight of who they are. Their personalities flourish instead of being died down.
My friends are still themselves. And they’ve changed for the better, not for the worse.
They miss their partners when they’re away, but they do not suffocate each other.
2. If you both want it, it’ll work
Family disapproval. The difficulty of being long distance. Personalities colliding. Noisy, heated arguments. Problems regarding school or work.
Excuses. I don’t wanna hear it.
Life will forever have its obstacles, and we have to come up with the solutions. Give each other time and work it out.
What’s worth fighting for is rarely easy.
What people care more about will always show, sooner or later.
You wouldn’t give up on the person you saw spending your entire future with, now would you?
