Let’s all come together with our unique super powers and contribute to the community 🤩

Our community members have always been contributing to help each other through blogs, speaking at HelloMeets sessions, connecting people and much more.

One more way you can contribute is to share your learnings via the HelloMeets Community Blogs

We believe everybody who attends a meetup, can help others and they don’t need to be a writer for that.

Are you wondering How? 🤔 💭

The HelloMeets Community Blogs Guidelines will help you — We’ll help you with the beginning lines of your blog, the format for the middle and the end.

To know more about this, read on till the end…

Why did we start this? 💡

Recently our community member, Krishna Damaraju, a Front-end developer at Freshworks Inc wrote a blog about a meetup he attended at HelloMeets on “Data Driven SEO for Startups” conducted by Ashok K Kammara, Head of Growth & Marketing at klenty

And his efforts really helped other SAAS Marketers know about the meetup they missed and learn from it.

This made us come up with guidelines to help people write blogs and help other community members with insights from the meetups.

We do meetups on the topics that have been executed at startups so there is no theoretical gyaan (knowledge).

By doing this via community, we together are really making a difference to our fellow members’ career choices and advancement.

“Measure the value of the contribution, not of the community. The community is for them.” — David Spinks, Founder at CMX, a community for community professionals.

How to begin your blog, share insights in a very readable format and end it well ⁉️⁉️

(Don’t worry about editing, once you submit your blog, we’ll help you with it before publishing)

1. How to start the blog

There can be a very simple way to start.

For example, you attended a meetup with Supriyo, Head of Design at Flipkart. Let’s take this example to explain all the below points.

Here you go:

I attended a meetup with Head of Product Design, Supriyo this Sunday at HelloMeets and here I am sharing the 4 broad learnings from the meetup.

These might help my fellow designers.

2. How to select sub-topics

Next list down in rough, what have been your 4 major learnings from the meetup and then use the same as sub-headlines

For example, I learnt these 4 things from Supriyo’s talk:

  • Why Flipkart started with Flipkart Plus — Rewards program for Flipkart Customers
  • How we decided the shape and position of our check out button
  • Design of Mobile phones search
  • Design system guidelines at Flipkart

3. What to write inside the sub topics

In pointers, list down the learnings under each sub-topic. Also, add relevant examples, links, images, videos shared by the speakers.

Tip: Make sure you don’t forget to add all the examples. They make the content really insightful and read worthy, especially when we have experts coming & sharing what they’ve executed.

4. How to end

This is my takeaway from a HelloMeets session on Product Design at Flipkart. If you’d like to attend sessions like these, check out www.hellomeets.com for their lineup of interesting events.

5. Most important — the headline of your blog.

To make it simple, you can copy and paste the same headline from the poster of the HelloMeets event that you attended.

If you’ve already attended a HelloMeets session for which you want to share your learnings with the community now, Don’t wait!!

Comment below and we’ll get back to you!!
