Through the generous support of the Harnisch Foundation, Hello Neighbor gifted $2,500 to five US-based nonprofits for immediate use in translation and/or interpretation. In keeping with the mission of Hello Neighbor and the Hello Neighbor Network, each of the receiving nonprofits works with refugee and immigrant populations.

This Resilience Grant focused on immediate needs and called for proposals that prioritized interpretation and/or translation within a short, couple-month period. These funds will be used to pay translators and interpreters, enabling linguistically-appropriate service and furthering the missions of recipient organizations.

The Network received photos and stories highlighting the impact of these grants. Read below to learn more!

Elmahaba Center (Nashville, TN)

Elmahaba Center provided interpretation at vaccine clinics, voter registration drives, and events focused on the importance of reading to children.
