For the first time, the Hello Neighbor Network is making its national convening virtual. The Pittsburgh-based program, powered by Hello Neighbor, is a coalition of grassroots nonprofits working with refugees and immigrants across the U.S.

The Hello Neighbor Network Convening is an opportunity for leaders and aspiring leaders, across fields and experience, to refocus, reimagine, and recharge. This is a chance to learn from the work of others, ask questions, engage in dialogue, and celebrate together in a time when we often feel far apart. Our work helps to create a greater sense of belonging for our newest neighbors and we hope you’ll save your seat to be a part of it. It’s our hope that you walk away feeling reinvigorated to continue your important work, whatever it may be, in communities across the U.S.

This isn’t your typical day on Zoom. The virtual convening is a three day event of learning, inspiration, and growth (register here).

REFOCUS: On April 13th, Hello Neighbor Network members will gather for a members-only conversation, intention setting, and alignment.

REIMAGINE: On April 14th, all are invited to attend a free and open day of the convening to learn together and reimagine what communities of belonging could look like in the U.S.

RECHARGE: On April 15th, Network members and key stakeholders will be in on critical conversations about refugee resettlement, innovation, and nonprofit success for the final invite-only day.

The lineup includes business strategists, bestselling authors, entrepreneurs, musicians, creatives, and public servants. There are opportunities to engage, ask questions, and meet peers.

We are taking every opportunity to think creatively and embed interaction and connection throughout the day with a yoga/meditation to start the morning, musical guests and poets in the evening for cocktail hour, and time on the virtual “shuttle bus” to get to know other attendees in breakout rooms.

Nilofer Merchant

Reimagine Day keynote speaker, Nilofer Merchant, is one of the leading business thinkers in the U.S. and her opening remarks on Onlyness will ground you in the one spot only you can stand as a function of your history, experiences, vision, and hope. The sessions that follow will provide various lenses to give you a new perspective from that spot. The agenda includes panel conversations on racial healing and relationship building; fireside chats on belonging, the impact of COVID on women, storytelling, and more.

Eskinder Negash

Recharge Day keynote speaker, Eskinder Negash, President and CEO of USCRI, will be interviewed by award-winning journalist and political correspondent Ron Brownstein. A panel of local Pittsburgh funders will share insights with nonprofit leaders and their boards. And the event will close with fireside chats, reflection, and a cocktail hour.

Are you a nonprofit leader who has been stretched thin, overworked and underresourced?

Pull up a seat at the convening to refocus, reimagine, and recharge with the Hello Neighbor Network.
