AUM and Marketing
2020 so far has been tough for the world let alone Malaysia and here at HelloGold we have worked hard to continue helping our users with their savings. The effects of the pandemic are varied and more relevant to us is its effect on the price of gold. The first half of 2020 has seen a gold price increase by over 17% and in the month of July this trend continued with a +10% price increase MoM. To help users better understand and even get a better sense of it all we published a reference article on Gold in Times of Uncertainty, in our website’s news section.
Since June up to the end of July our AUM has grown 11.6% (~5.6%/mth)
Business
MadMatch SmartSaver
Between 29th of June to the 12th of July, HelloGold launched the new MadMatch SmartSaver promotion, offering one lucky winner the chance to win the same total value of savings accumulated over a 6-month period. This initiative is the first of its kind at HelloGold and is already seeing a positive uptake with 25% more funds versus past SmartSaver 6-month promotions.
Community Growth
Since the launch of our ambassador program in June this year, the HelloGold community groups have seen an increase in followers by 52.3% versus the previous month. Managed by our fellow ambassadors, these groups on Whatsapp, Telegram and Facebook have been a great hub for HelloGold enthusiasts to exchange their experiences and share their savings journey with each other.
Technical
Bid/Ask Spread
We have released the bid ask product which was well received and makes it far easier to compare us to alternative gold saving products out there. We can confidently say we are the best option.
Thailand users will soon be able to seamlessly interact with this new update with the improvements we have made to the add cash user experiences and we will be shipping this out beginning of August.
Web App Integration
The web application is almost ready with a second audit to take place before we begin planning a public release. We are at the same time working on some exciting partnerships that will make use of the web application for deeper integrations provider greatly improve user experiences!
GOLDX distribution
HGF distribution of GOLDX rewards was done on the following dates:
9.769 GOLDX on the 13th of June 2020 and 10.506 GOLDX on the 13th of July 2020. The next distribution will be 11.017 on the 13th of August.
