Say Hello to the Micro Lifestyle Insurance Goal
If there’s anything we’ve learnt from life in the last year is that the unexpected is guaranteed and protecting oneself and wealth is vital. July saw a key milestone for HelloGold as it broadened its product offering with insurance protection to all users.
For just RM3/month, HelloGold users between 18–40 years old can now add Micro Lifestyle Insurance to their SmartSaver plan. The plan is powered by Senang and underwritten by Zurich General Takaful Malaysia Berhad. The new Micro Lifestyle Insurance goal covers:
· Death & Permanent Disablement coverage of up to RM5,000,
· Funeral Expenses of up to RM1,000
· Emergency Cash of up to RM1,000
This plan offers instant protection upon purchase enabling users to protect themselves and their loved ones, no matter their financial situation.
Boost In App Integration Launch Promo
July also marked a huge achievement for HelloGold with the launch of the first in-app integration with their long-time friend, Boost. All Boost users are now able to access the HelloGold app directly on the Boost app where they can enjoy all the same features such as buy, save and sell gold.
Following this new release, Boost and HelloGold collaborated on the launch campaign in August to drive their users to save gold via the HelloGold tile. Boost users who saved a minimum of RM100 in gold via the HelloGold tile on the Boost app were eligible to earn RM5 cashback.
This marks a key milestone as we continue our mission to make gold savings easy for everyone!
Save Smart, Win Smart SmartSaver
In conjunction with Malaysia Day (16 September), we launched a new SmartSaver campaign to drive more users to save on a regular basis. From 16th — 30th September 2021, HelloGold users who subscribed to the Save Smart, Win Smart goal and save a minimum of RM100 in gold for 3 consecutive months, stand a chance to win a brand new Smartphone worth RM2,199! This is the first SmartSaver campaign giving away a gadget as a lucky draw prize!
Business
The performance through the Boost wallet to date has not been in line with our expectation. However, following discussions with the Boost team, the performance has actually been better than previous financial product launches on a like-for-like basis. We are now working with the wallet to launch a second campaign in time for the year end.
The integration with our third wallet is now scheduled to be completed by December 2021.
Technical
The team is focused on wallet integration and web app development.
