Public Token Sale Process
HelloGold have a simple 5 step process in place for participating in the HGF Token Sale
1. Register
Register on hellogold.org, (or click on the “Register” button hellogold.org homepage) including entering:
- your know-your-customer data
- a secure word
- the ETH address you will be sending funds from
2. Review
HelloGold Foundation will then review your submission and email you when approved (you need to have verified your email)
Once you are approved, you can log in to the secure area of hellogold.org. You should be able to see the secure word you entered on the bottom left of the webpage; only you will be able to see this word.
3. ETH address
24 hours before the start of the token sale (i.e. Sunday 27 August 0400 UTC) we will reveal the ETH address for you to send funds to. This will only be available to approved supporters within the secure area. Log in to hellogold.org, check that you can see your secure word and you will see the address to submit funds to under ‘Token Sale Address’.
Note: Please only log in to hellogold.org by typing or using a bookmarked address. Do not use a link from Slack or other location, inc. from any DM — even (especially!) if it appears to be from the team.
4. Public Sale Open
Monday 28 August 0400 UTC the sale will start; all you have to do is send ETH from the address you registered to the address shown in the secure area under ‘Token Sale Address’, using an Ethereum wallet (eg nano, myEtherWallet, Parity wallet, mist etc.)
Notes:
- Maximum — 10 ETH /supporter. Funds above this amount will be refunded to the user automatically (less the amount to pay for Gas)
- Minimum — 0.001 ETH. Funds below this amount will be rejected
- You need to send from a personal wallet that has been pre-registered (see 1. above), NOT an exchange wallet. Any funds sent from a wallet that is not registered will be rejected and no HGT allocated
- Before submitting any funds, please ensure that you have read and understand all the Token Sale documents, particularly the legal information included in the Token Sale Information Sheet
5. HGT distribution
HGT will be automatically allocated to successful supporters. You should see HGT in your wallet. You can also check your HGT allocation via the secure area on hellogold.org. HGT will be become transferable once the sale is complete and we have completed our checks.
Note: the timing of the unfreezing depends on how quickly the sale happens and the time taken to make the checks.
