We have created a series of process walkthroughs providing instructions on how to participate in the HelloGold Foundation Token Sale. This post covers Step 4 in the process, ie:

  1. Setting up an Exchange account to change fiat into crypto
  2. Buying ETH from an Exchange
  3. Setting up an address on a wallet that supports participating in Token Sales
  4. Transferring ETH from an Exchange to a wallet
  5. Completing HelloGold Token Sale registration
  6. Sending ETH to the Token Sale address

There are other exchanges and wallets you may use in the crypto space. This walkthrough focuses on using Coinbase and MyEtherWallet.

To read on the prior step, go to Step 3: Setting up a MyEtherWallet address.

To use Coinbase, you can refer to: Step 4.a: Transferring ETH from Coinbase to MyEtherWallet.

Transferring ETH from an Exchange to a wallet

The following are steps to transfer ETH from Coinhako to MyEtherWallet.

Step 1:

Sign-in to your Coinhako Account.

Step 2:

Click on Send ETH.

Step 3:

Enter your Ethereum wallet address and amount to send, then click Next.

Step 4:

Review the transaction details (especially the address to send to!) and click Confirm Send.

You now have ETH in your own MyEtherWallet! Please remember to keep your keystore file, private key, and recovery phrase in a secure location and never share them with anybody. Before you are able to send ETH to the Token Sale address, you will need to complete your registration. The steps to do so is covered in the following article — Step 5: Token Sale Registration.
