ICX Station: Revamp & Participation in ICONSENSUS

Hello from ICX Station,

The ICX Station Team would like to officially announce our participation in ICONSENSUS, the decentralization of the ICON Network, as a P-Rep candidate. Our goal from the inception of ICX Station has been to become a fully self-sufficient entity, with no reliance on the ICON Foundation for funding. Being elected as a P-Rep by the ICON community will bring us one step closer to achieving this vision.

The blockchain industry is constantly changing, and ICX Station must adapt to the changing environment. With this in mind, we would also like to announce the broadened scope of ICX Station along with our revamped website to reflect the changes. ICX Station will no longer be simply an accelerator program, and will now be focusing on 4 key pillars as the dedicated ecosystem expansion arm of the ICON Network. The 4 pillars are Acceleration, Incubation, Education, and Thought Leadership & Research, and it is through these 4 pillars that we will pursue the vision of turning the ICON Republic into a Digital Nation with a vibrant DAO ecosystem.

The Four Pillars

• Acceleration: Provide necessary support and guidance to external blockchain projects that are interested in building compelling utility for the ICON blockchain
• Incubation: Pursue internal ideas that align with our goal of achieving the future of Digital Nations and DAOs
• Education: Expand the developer community through partnerships and meetups, while educating them on the benefits of DAOs
• Thought Leadership & Research: Publish thought provoking content and share it with the community

We would also like to take this opportunity to highlight the contributions that ICX Station has already made to the ICON Ecosystem:

Acceleration: From the inception of ICX Station, our team has evaluated 100+ companies to join the ICX Station program. Our current portfolio includes ZenSports, AC3, MecaCoin, weBloc, LogisticsX, Stayge, Somesing, DiscoverX, MixMarvel, and one other project currently operating in stealth mode. Additionally, we hosted a demo day for all ICON DApps to help raise money in Silicon Valley.

Education: Our educational efforts include a recent contract with Major League Hacking for their LocalHost program, Craftain (a joint-effort with P-Rep candidate ICONnation), and the upcoming integration with Morpheus Labs.

Thought Leadership & Research: The combined efforts of our team in thought leadership and research can be found on the ICX Station Medium, 2infiniti Medium, and Ricky Dodds Medium

Additionally, we are excited to announce the addition of Ricky Dodds and Justin Hsiao (2infiniti) to the ICX Station team. Ricky will be spear-heading the Thought Leadership & Research pillar and helping with high-level strategy, while Justin will be contributing to the development of incubation projects, the creation of technical educational content, and evaluation of potential accelerator projects.
