QUICK LAUNCH (CTRL + Q)

It’s the most useful but least used feature of visual studio. It’s hard to remember all commands, tools, and options. Quick launch gives you the ability to find any option quickly.

MULTIPLE COPY & PASTE

Ever wanted to copy multiple text and paste one by one. Visual studio has that feature since the beginning. To paste multiple copied text use ‘Ctrl + Shift + V’.

TRACK ACTIVE FILES

• This feature will highlight the current file in the solution explorer.
• Step:- Navigate To Tools -> Options -> Projects and Solutions -> General -> “Track Active Item in Solution Explorer”

NAVIGATE TO (CTRL+ ,)

• ‘Navigate to’ feature allows you to find classes, files, and functions.
• Select a file from the list and hit Enter. The selected file will be displayed in the workspace

PEEK DEFINITION

This feature will display a popup with the definition. You can peek definition using 2 ways.

• Select Class > Alt + F12
• Select Class > Ctrl and clicking

VERTICAL SCROLL BAR

• When you are working with long code files, it can be hard to keep track of where everything is in the file.
• A vertical scroll bar will help you to find and understand the file structure.

FULL SEARCH

• Full search will allow you full text search across the entire solution.
• It has some additional features like defining search scope, file type, etc.
