Old think has said Above The Fold matters

But …users are using to scrolling vertically now thanks to the mobile push 📱

So much so they ZOOM right past that pretty graphic or top banner and settle into where the actual meaty content is.

In fact… 66% of attention on a normal media page is spent below the fold.

This means that you are more likely to attract the user’s attention right below the fold, again, where the actual content lives ☝

Lesson to learn?

Know where your users like to hang out and live in that space.

You can get pretty creative and perhaps convert users better if you attach a CTA to some juicy content.
