💢 Show only your best projects
Only the projects you are most proud of, they are the ones who can grab the most attention and the better chances you will get to find a job.

💢 Showcase only between 4–6 projects
This is better than put a big number of projects because you also want the employer to go as fast as possible to the call to action and actually contact you.

💢 Include one strong sentence about you
In the home page of your portfolio website, add a strong sentence of who you are, what you do, and where you based. It helps the employer understand a lot about you from this only one sentence.

💢 Have a clear call to action
Have a clear email/contact form, something that leads the employer to easily contact you.

💢 Show what clients say about you!
Another very important thing to include in your portfolio website is what clients you worked with say about you (testimonials) and your work quality.

💢 Include your resume as a PDF
I think a lot of designers forgot to include their resume as a PDF in the website.
