1️⃣ Type your letter

2️⃣ Create a line of suitable stroke size. Select Roughen effect in Distort & Transform tools.

3️⃣ Duplicate the line all the way to the length of your text. Select all the lines and expand it, then group them.
⠀
4️⃣ Select only text and expand the text. Overlap the text with the lines. Then select all and click the divide tool in pathfinder tools.

5️⃣ Now use the Magic wand tool and select any of the red lines. Then press delete.

Step 01

Type your letter. Try to choose a bold font for best result.
