I had a super interesting interview with Gion Tummers from Demodern about augmented reality and virtual reality. He had a lot of insights about those technologies and we decided to share this in micro blogs to support the design community πŸš€

So, there are more posts about those topics coming! ✨

Starting with prototyping means using the right methods and tools which help to design the experience.

1️⃣ Pen & Paper

Starting with a storyboard. Don’t stay in this 2D space for too long but use it throughout your process to scribble your thoughts or visualize the big picture.

2️⃣ Physical props

Create simple physical props and print out lo-fi UI elements to visualize and experience your idea as a 3-dimensional real-world user flow.

3️⃣ Tools

Create a more comprehensive user flow with readily available mixed reality prototyping tools, like Google Tilt Brush and Google Blocks.

4️⃣ Unity 3D

Unity 3D is a great tool to get started β€” even though it involves coding and its learning curve is a bit steeper you’ll be able to create a robust functional prototype.
