THE POWER OF SKETCHING 📝

I always start an Idea with pen and paper because I think concepting and designing the user interface is a process 🧗‍♂️

It all begins with an idea, but that idea needs user interface translation.

〰️ Simple sketching allows you to visualize the screen-to-screen interaction so that your idea is something that’s visible and clear in user interface form.

〰️ It’s easy to mistakenly think a sketch is a wireframe. They are similar but they are not the same thing.

Both are useful for illustrating an interface concept, but a wireframe and a sketch are done in different mediums and produce different results.

A sketch is not a wireframe

It’s impossible to go from a simple idea in your head to immediately building it out.

Every idea needs user interface translation.

Wireframing is where refining the concept is done and during the design phase the visual graphics and content placement is done.

It allows you to express your ideas quickly to help your client and team members understand your idea.

Bonus — 4 tools that may be useful in your designer way:

Funnelytics — an incredible tool that helps you build the best marketing funnel mapping.
Flowkit — allows designers to create frighteningly fast user flows within Sketch and Figma.
Crello — the simplest online image editor. A simple but powerful tool to create awesome designs for any social media format — posts, covers, graphics, and posters using the best software on the web. It’s easy! A lot of animated designs.
Webflow — all-in-one web design tool that allows users to design, build, and launch responsive websites visually.
