🤔 What should I do after a User Research?

I’ve explained the most usual UX activities in the previous posts: Part 1, Part 2.

What’s next?

4 most usual steps:

1️⃣ Concepting
2️⃣ Wireframing
3️⃣ Prototyping
4️⃣ Usability Testing!

➡️ Concepting and organizing

After defining Brief and criteria you left us with a billions of ideas.

The question is: what should we pick the best ones? Here are few of my favorite methods to organize the ideas:

📍Brainstorming
📍Affinity diagram
📍User Story Map
📍Decision path
📍Progressive Disclosure
📍Information architecture

➡️ Wireframing

With a clear picture on your concept you can start wire framing

📍LO-FI
A freehand drawing on paper. The first visual brainstorming. The fastest way to lay down all your ideas to evaluate the best ones
📍HI-FI
After defining the product patterns start visualizing them in a gray scale in any graphical tool: Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD. Don’t design UI yet.

➡️ Prototyping

“If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a prototype is worth 10,000”.

After creating HI-FI screens, use Invison, Marvel or Framer to link all the screens due to your scenario.

Prototyping helps to focus on structure and functionality of the site instead of visual elements

➡️ Usability Testing!

Understand how real users interact with the product, what problems they face.

Typical test Metrics:
📍Successful Task Completion.
📍Critical Errors
📍Time On Task

Useful tools:

Webflow — all-in-one web design tool that allows users to design, build, and launch responsive websites visually.

Funnelytics — an incredible tool that helps you build the best marketing funnel mapping.
