Storytelling 101: Spring Session
Practical instruction to move beyond blind spots and gridlock for writers who are stuck in a rut on the road of life
“Build your own dreams, or someone else will hire you to build theirs.“ — Farrah Gray
Caricature maps use bright colors and whimsical illustrations to orient viewers to unfamiliar territory. Their purpose is straightforward. To show you where you are, offer options of where to go and dispense directions to get there.
I know this from carving out a niche in the municipal tourism industry by making caricature maps. The goal was always the same. To keep tax dollars local. Though helpful to end users, the primary motivation was to benefit the local economy.
This was instructive. Besides generating revenue, the biggest takeaway was to always remain in charge of making the map for my own life. It’s the lasting lesson I’ve made it my mission to teach others.
“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside of you.”
- Maya Angelou
Pilot Program: Specifically Designed for Writers
This course offers guidance to write a story that defines the next decade. It engages participants and empowers them to tap the inertia to get going.
Commonality
Desire to make a change, yet failing to act, causes you to spin your wheels. Shifting gears and leaning into change gets you unstuck. It’s the only option to move forward. Tapping personal proactivity offers the inertia to propel you where you want to go.

Please Watch
On Sunday, OCTAVIA EVER AFTER shared the embedded YouTube video. It encapsulates what I’ll spend the rest of my life teaching others. What I know for sure is:
At birth, you were gifted with your own unique story.
You just need to think about your life to get that story straight.
That requires reprogramming your brain.
You must focus on what you want instead of what you don’t want.
When you understand the immutable laws of the universe… you know that a spiritual force has balanced the scale of life. Learn those laws. Live your life by those laws. Then watch how the odds of winning tip the scale in your favor.
