TMZ reports that talent young artist, Mac Miller (born Malcolm James McCormick) was found dead in his San Fernandino Valley (CA) home earlier today.

The rapper had suffered from addiction for years, and it seems the mounting pressure of his recent break-up with Ariana Grande, a car crash, a DUI charge, an album release and a U.S. Tour had led to a resurgence in unhealthy drug use. When Twitter user @FlintElijah implied the break-up as a cause for Miller’s car crash Ariana had this to say:

I am not a babysitter or a mother, and no woman should feel that they need to be. I have cared for him and tried to support his sobriety & prayed for his balance for years (and always will of course) but shaming/blaming women for a man’s inability to keep his s**t together is a very major problem.

The team here at Hendon agree that blaming Grande for these events is irresponsible and simply wrong.

Mac Miller had released his album Swimming in August and was preparing to go on tour in the US later this year.

This loss adds to a long, saddening list of early deaths in the entertainment industry this year. If you or any of your friends or family are suffering from suicidal thoughts or drug addiction you can contact the numbers below:
