You’ve probably never heard of digital artist rad0_h, but you’ll totally want to check him out after seeing some of his artwork inspired by Kiwi influences. I discovered Rado after spotting his fantastic artwork of rugby star Sean Wainui. Hip-hop and R&B artists also inspire lots of rad0’s artwork, including unreal work of Drake, Bruno Mars, Kanye West and more.

Rado is a young Kiwi who’s goal is to spread positivity through his creativity on social media.

Mostly self-taught, Rado became interested in the digital medium when he was in school.

He’s got an inspiring outlook on how Instagram can be used to benefit Kiwi’s positively:

“…IG is a platform to highlight someone’s life. The bits that we often don’t see is the struggles come with it. Go to an art gallery and buy local art. Support musicians by going to their gig. We, unfortunately, can’t live on likes alone.”

The artist goes on to speak about how Kiwi’s tend to have a mentality that means they shy away from achievement. When we see something cool, we don’t let those creators know:

“…flick them a message and tell them. It might just be what they need to keep at it.”

Rado’s message and outlook on life is incredibly inspiring and artists like Rado should 100% be recognised more for the amazing work they’re doing.

Ka mau te wehi!
