The SNL Premiere saw ‘Ye put on three of the messiest performances in the show's history.
The season premiere of Saturday Night Live has just wrapped up with Kanye West as its musical guest. In the buildup to the show, it seemed like ‘Ye would debut new music and announce the release of Yhandi, but neither of those things happened.
First, we got a bizarre performance of I Love It with Lil Pump — watch Kanye’s face when Pump gives up on keeping the track clean…
That was followed by a performance of the unreleased We Got Love with Teyana Taylor. This track was meant to appear on Taylor’s album K.T.S.E. but didn’t get sample clearance in time.
Finally, Kanye wrapped up the show performing Ghost Town with Kid Cudi and 070 Shake.
SNL cut the performance off because the show ran over time, but we didn’t miss much. Kanye proceeded to perform an attempted freestyle, jamming with the SNL cast members, and then went on a political rant — classic Kanye.
