The Handelszeitung, a German-language Swiss newspaper — and oldest business newspaper in Switzerland — discusses the high demand for alternative citizenship in EU member states. Dr. Christian H. Kaelin is quoted saying “the demand has multiplied due to Covid, and this worldwide because a completely new dimension has now been added to the usual motivation of visa-free access, personal security and diversification: namely the security of having access to good medical services and the right to limit to happen — even in a pandemic in which everything is shut down.”
