Hi there! Every month, we have a mini tech conference in our company, and it’s called MTS (Monthly Technical Session). We had the 113rd MTS Christmas edition!
Let’s dive in!

Tried the AI test tool “Magic Pod.”

Our first speaker was Ota-san, and she gave a presentation about MagicPod, an AI-based testing platform.
She mentioned the powerful feature called “self-healing”. When we have a discrepancy between an implemented UI and a test scenario, MagicPod detects the difference and reports it after finishing tests.
It saves a lot of time because E2E tests usually take time and are painful to rerun every time we make an update.

re: Invent 2023 Recap

The next speakers were Hans, Liam, and Mussin. They joined an event by AWS in Nevada and reported about it.
I was first amazed at the scale of the event. Hans mentioned that they had a bus taking a freeway to move to other venues. This will never happen in Japan.

In the keynote, they introduced some new features such as Amazon Q, OpenSearch Zero-ETL integrations, and so on.
Other than keynotes, the event had approximately 800 topics, and each member enjoyed sessions.

Vue Fes Japan 2023

Our next presentation was also about a tech conference. It was about Vue Fes Japan 2023, and we sponsored it!
Henry, Rob, and Sean shared their takeaways and thoughts.
They all mentioned that so many Vue devs struggle to migrate to Vue3.
It was interesting to hear what’s going on in the Vue world as a React developer.

WebSummit 2023

We had another conference recap that day, which was about the Web Summit held in Lisbon!
The conference was very huge, with more than 71,000 attendees and 1,000 speakers!
They each shared some interesting sessions that each joined.
It seems that people are paying a lot of attention to AI. I was impressed with the tool called “Mutabor.AI,” which generates content based on the company's product brand.
Sonam shared takeaways on hiring developers at the end of the presentation.

MPS — I Broke My SmartPhone

Finally, Shinya shared his experience on how to recover his authentication information if his mobile phone broke.

After all presentation finished, we had a beer bash as always 🍺
