Hello! 👋

We hope you are doing well and staying safe. Thank you to everyone who joined us last week, on June 26, for our third episode of HENNGE Talks! — Life as a Global Intern at HENNGE. We were joined by Camilo Sampedro, one of our ex-global interns and current software engineer.

In this episode, Camilo shared his experience from applying to the internship program to how he ended up working at HENNGE. Camilo, who is originally from Medellin, Colombia, learned about Japanese work culture from books and the internet. However, during the first day of his internship, he was in for a surprise.

“I had the idea that you needed to wait until your boss left to be able to go home after work… Yejin, one of the GIP members .. came to our desk and said, why are you still here? Let’s go home. It’s 7:00p.m.”

Hear more about how Camilo navigated through Japan for the first time and what led him to ultimately move his life to an entirely new country.
