With the WNBA All-Star game now behind us, many teams are making a final push towards the playoffs. This week had lots of big games with playoff implications and lots of players and teams really stepped up to the plate. Let’s break down the eye-catching statistical performances from this week.

Dallas Wings: 44.6% Offensive Rebound Rate

Despite an absolutely dominant performance on the offensive glass this week, the Dallas Wings are in a rut. But just barely. They’ve lost their past five games, but their three losses this past week were by a total of only nine points. They lost by only two to Chicago and just one point to Washington. They are currently sitting in the number eight spot in the league, making them the last team to squeeze in the playoffs if these standings were to hold.

What’s great for Dallas is that they can absolutely turn this around. Their rebounding this week was outstanding. They grabbed 44.6% of their misses this week and outrebounded their opponents on the offensive boards 50–22. If they can keep up this kind of rebounding while cleaning up a couple of problem spots, they could make a big push as the end of the regular season draws near.

Imani McGee-Stafford: 27.3% Offensive Rebound Rate and 11.9% Block Rate

In somewhat limited minutes, Imani McGee-Stafford has been putting in some incredible work. She only totalled 31 minutes throughout this week’s three games for the Dream, but she pulled down four offensive rebounds and swatted two shots against the Lynx and grabbed three offensive rebounds and three blocks against the Sky.

She had eight total rebounds against Minnesota in only 14 minutes of action and seven total rebounds against the Sky in just 10 minutes. Her minutes have been in a constant state of flux this season, but she’s consistently shown the ability to really get it done whenever she’s on the floor for Atlanta.

Natasha Cloud: 1.73 Points Per Scoring Attempt

Natasha Cloud shot a whopping 70% from three-point range this week, buoying her to 1.73 points per scoring attempt. She hit a total of seven threes in two games for the Mystics, recovering from a scoreless outing against the Atlanta Dream the week before the All-Star break.

In addition to her hot shooting from the outside, Cloud grabbed three rebounds against Atlanta this week and five more in her following game against Dallas. Cloud is now shooting 39.3% from deep this season, making it her best three-point shooting season yet by far.
