2024 Class of Influential Latinos in Media

Peter Murrieta, deputy director of The Sidney Poitier New American Film School, has been named among the Imagen Foundation’s 2024 class of Influential Latinos in Media.

Designing the future

Bruce Mau, co-founder and CEO of the Chicago-based holistic design consultancy Massive Change Network, has joined ASU’s Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts as its newest Institute Professor, working alongside current Institute Professors Wanda Dalla Costa, Maria Rosario Jackson, Liz Lerman and Daniel Bernard Roumain.

Endless Games and Learning Lab

In a public conversation on April 15 about gaming and education at the ASU+GSV Summit, Arizona State University President Michael Crow and Endless Network founder Matt Dalio announced the creation of the Endless Games and Learning Lab at ASU, which aims to advance learning and professional development at scale through the power of game design and all it encompasses. The Endless Lab will be part of the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts and physically will be within the Media and Immersive eXperience (MIX) Center in Mesa, Arizona.

Spotlight on XRts

ASU animation student Victoria Silva (left) and Vedika Bhasin, an augmented reality artist based in the San Francisco Bay area, each won a $60,000 scholarship to an XRts graduate degree program in the Worlds for Change Challenge announced at the SXSW fest in Austin, Texas.
