The service level we provide is detailed in our contracts, but the nuts & bolts stuff is usually only for the IT folks doing their due diligence.
It’s smart to ask about details, not just take our word for it that we care about 100% uptime and always-fast website delivery.
Here’s the outline of our top-tier Linux hosting platform. It is a combination of technology, expertise, and policies we have developed in-house for over a decade.

1) Always be faster than your website visitor’s high-speed connection. Zero bottlenecks.
2) Never let any unknown code onto the server. Maintain 100% control and understanding of software and strictly maintain version control & patches.
3) Do not resell hosting or let any third party have access to the server unless in a controlled separate user / cPanel account instance — and only then in rare circumstances with a highly trusted partner.
4) Restrict SSH access to the server and control the firewall to the maximum degree possible.

By design, our current web server (running Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP) has a very high capacity to respond quickly to any spikes in traffic. She’s breathing quite easily at the moment.

Smart, Controlled Policy Security. We are the only ones with access to the server (besides the hosting center staff). We do not re-sell or allow third parties in for any reason. All code on the server is maintained by us.

Public / Private Key encryption methodologies, which goes beyond using password strings. We also use Location-Access Restriction meaning you will be outright rejected if you try to get in from anywhere other than specific machines.
Backup, Backup, Backup. Local backup is nightly, retained for 7 days. We also retain one weekly backup and one monthly backup. Additionally, we use a managed off-site backup service that syncs with the entire server.
REDUNDANCY
For advanced redundancy and scaling, our system (described in above), could be duplicated and synchronized behind a load balancer.
