Facebook groups are actually pretty useful, despite Facebook being played out. People have moved on to Instagram and TikTok for the most part. Facebook groups are still a great way to connect with people. There’s this one group in particular called, “Are We Dating The Same Guy?” There are many iterations of this group based on what city you live in. They were created to help women who are on dating apps, see if there are other women in their city who are dating the dude they’re talking to. This is definitely something that has been created to combat the casual issue.

It seems like men who are very active on apps, are dating multiple women at once. Not just dating, but having multiple situationships. Women have realized they can’t trust a dude’s word, so they use these Facebook groups to cross reference. The usage of these groups evolved. Many women post photos of men to stay away from. They detail what happened with them, and give their date’s name, height, occupation, etc.

Women are basically outlining individual’s red flags.

I joined the LA based group because I thought it would be entertaining. I’m not on dating apps anymore so I don’t need to run a temperature check on any strangers I’ve gone on dates with. I got a laugh…
