Dr. Umar Is A Fraud
He doesn’t actually champion Black women.
It’s possible Dr. Umar’s heart is in the right place. Anything is possible. I’ve heard Dr. Umar rant on podcasts and radio shows. I’ve seen his TV appearances. I know he’s well educated. However, there’s been some talk about whether he’s embellished his credentials. I don’t really care what his credentials are or whether he has a license to therapize people. Only he and the institutions he went to know this. He has a Bachelor’s degree and a Doctoral degree, but somehow doesn’t have a Master’s. Let’s just assume he’s accredited.
It’s no secret Dr. Umar hates interracial marriage. He calls Black people out, to their faces, if they marry a white person. He believes the people who do this could choose to marry Black, but they choose white partners instead. He says the reason for this is self-hatred. He thinks Black people do this to access status they wouldn’t otherwise have access to. Here’s a few clips of him ranting on the topic:
