منـم که گوشه میخانه خانقاه من است
دعای پیر مغان ورد صبحگاه مـن اسـتگرم ترانـه چنگ صبوح نیست چـه باک
نوای من به سحر آه عذرخواه من اسـتز پادشاه و گدا فارغـم بـحـمدالـلـه
گدای خاک در دوست پادشاه من اسـتغرض ز مسجد و میخانه‌ام وصال شماست
جز این خیال ندارم خدا گواه مـن اسـتمـگر بـه تیغ اجل خیمه برکنـم ور نی
رمیدن از در دولت نه رسم و راه من استاز آن زمان که بر این آستان نـهادم روی
فراز مسند خورشید تکیه گاه من اسـتگـناه اگر چـه نـبود اختیار ما حافـظ
تو در طریق ادب باش و گو گناه من است
2) Meaning of Poem in English

منـم که گوشه میخانه خانقاه من است
دعای پیر مغان ورد صبحگاه مـن اسـت“I am the one for whom the corner of the tavern is a sanctuary,

English Transliteration
Manam ke goshe meykhane khanqah man ast
Doaye pir-e maghan vord-e sobhgah man ast
گرم ترانـه چنگ صبوح نیست چـه باک
نوای من به سحر آه عذرخواه من اسـتIf there is no morning song of the harp, what fear do I have?
My voice at dawn is the sigh of apology.
English Transliteration
Garam taraneh-e chang-e sobho nist che bak
Navaye man be sahar ah-e ozrkhah man ast
ز پادشاه و گدا فارغـم بـحـمدالـلـه
گدای خاک در دوست پادشاه من اسـتI am, thank God, indifferent to both king and beggar,
The beggar at the door of the friend is my king.
English Transliteration
Ze padshah-o geda faragham, behamdelellah
Geda-ye khak dar-e doost, padshah man ast
غرض ز مسجد و میخانه‌ام وصال شماست
جز این خیال ندارم خدا گواه مـن اسـتMy purpose from mosque and tavern is your union,
|Other than this, I have no thought, God is my witness.
English Transliteration
Gharaz ze masjed-o meykhane-am vasale shoma-st
Joz in khayal nadaram, khoda gavah man ast
مـگر بـه تیغ اجل خیمه برکنـم ور نی
رمیدن از در دولت نه رسم و راه من استPerhaps I shall strike my tent with the sword of fate, or not,
Fleeing from the door of fortune is not my custom and path.
English Transliteration
Magar be tigh-e ejl khimeh barkanam var ni
Remydan az dar-e dowlat na rasmo rah man ast
از آن زمان که بر این آستان نـهادم روی
فراز مسند خورشید تکیه گاه من اسـتSince the time I laid my face on this threshold,
The high throne of the sun is my resting place.
English Transliteration
Az an zeman ke bar in astan nahadam rooy
Faraz-e masnad-e khorshid takeyahgah man ast
گـناه اگر چـه نـبود اختیار ما حافـظ
تو در طریق ادب باش و گو گناه من استThough sin is not our choice, Hafez,
Be in the way of politeness and say the sin is mine.”

Gonah agar che nabood ekhtiyar-e ma, Hafez
