Quentin Garcia is a chef excited about his new oven at Lola Rose, a Turkish / Mediterranean-style restaurant. He’s the only chef in the desert with this special oven. Lola Rose is opening in the Thompson Palm Springs Hotel. They will serve dishes like flatbreads, kebabs, and other foods using fresh ingredients from California.

Garcia went to Istanbul to learn new cooking ideas and find spices for his menu. He learned about labneh, a creamy dip, and found a special spice that makes it taste amazing. He also plans to serve beef tartare, muhammara (a spicy dip), and crispy Persian rice at Lola Rose. There will also be lamb with special sauces and beans.

Before Lola Rose, Garcia worked as a chef at Rainbird in the El Capitan Hotel. He has cooked all over the world for 20 years. When he had the chance to come back to the Coachella Valley, he was very happy. He thinks the desert area is growing fast with many good chefs and restaurants.

Lola Rose will be on the hotel's second floor with a view of Mount San Jacinto. They will serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. The restaurant is named after the grandchildren of Kathryn and Craig Hall, who own the hotel. The Thompson Palm Springs hotel will also have a big wine-tasting room and another casual restaurant.

The hotel will have a wine-tasting room for Hall Wines and another eatery by the Boujis Group from Los Angeles. They’re known for Olivetta in West Hollywood and The Draycott in Pacific Palisades. Lola Rose and these places will make the hotel very special on Palm Canyon Drive.
