Endless Stars

A Poem Inspired by Coldplay

If I had more time

What would I dare to say?

Something to make you stay?

But There is a better way

If ever you’re alone

Do birds still sing for you?

And all the things you do

They know it’s true

Look at the endless stars

For you’re as beautiful as mars,

Oh how they shine for you

I drew a line,

To remind myself of you.

When time is lost

I’ll be there with you

Enter timeless space

All I see is your face,

Oh the addictive taste

There’s nothing more to waste

You’re my universe

Your skin and bones

Into the sunset they’re taken home

Fly as they were thrown

Celestial as it may seem

You’re bright as a comet’s beam

So for everyone to be seen

How beautiful you have been.

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. -John 1:5
