Star

The Sun
is everyone’s favorite,
in everyone’s heart
it truly fits

It’s there when
we don’t expect at all
sometimes it twinkles
at times it falls

Always around
to keep on watch,
with ever so slightly
cares with every touch

My small little light
that wonders in the dark,
whenever I feel empty
always there to keep me stark

Everyone’s been missing out
by picking the sun,
For my star has shown me
Even in the dark, she’s my number one.
