Get ready to get your boots on the ground commander, because we are about to land in the manic world of Mavia! Emerging from the sea after a mysterious underwater eruption, the magical Isle of Mavia is full of precarious lands and riches yet to be seen by human eyes.
As you land in Mavia, you will have to build up your base and defensive structures to protect yourself from opportunistic enemy invaders. As you grow your capable army, you will be able to conquer other unwary bases and cunningly loot their precious Gold and Oil resources.
The most tempting resource that draws adventurers to the island is called RUBY, the primary play-to-earn currency in the Mavia ecosystem. Successfully defeating enemy bases rewards you with RUBY and you can use it to cleverly upgrade your Base, Hero and Statue NFTs, further enhancing your production, power and earning potential. Vast tracts of untouched land are yet to be explored as more of this mysterious island will be progressively discovered through ‘land reveals’.
In this fast-paced, multiplayer world your management and decision-making skills will be tested as you consider which technology, buildings and troops you should upgrade and carefully plan which strategies you will employ to outwit other commanders and their bases. This addictive multiplayer mobile strategy game gives you an opportunity to earn resources and RUBY even when you are offline. As a base commander your task is to build up your vehicle, infantry and air units to attack enemy bases for RUBY while protecting your resources with well-planned walls, towers, traps and decoys. You will have to find the right balance of RUBY expenditure in your offensive and defensive forces if you are to succeed! As you play, your goal is to earn as much RUBY as you can to quickly expand and level up your base.

Inspired by classic MMO base-builder strategy games such as Clash of Clans, Heroes of Mavia delivers AAA quality graphics and cutting-edge features, the likes of which have yet to be seen in GameFi. Mavia goes a step further than existing base-building games by adding a blockchain inspired twist, allowing every base in the Mavia ecosystem to be streamed live during attacks and defenses. Additionally, every battle fought in Mavia is permanently recorded and can be viewed by anyone, forever. This is just one of many features that Mavia will have which makes the game stand out from the current Blockchain Gaming crowd.
Upgradable NFTs
The three main NFT assets in your control are Bases, Heroes and Statues. These are vital to your success and with time you shall learn how to use them effectively to gain the upper hand against any experienced opponent:
Bases are the core of your game and the only requirement to play, while Heroes and Statues are optional but greatly enhance the gameplay.
Heroes are “super troops” which can help you attack opponent bases and also protect your territory in defensive battles as well. Each Hero is equipped with a unique super power that is sure to come in handy when your opponent least expects it.
Statues can be acquired and placed in the base to provide passive boosts to your base, such as decreasing cooldown times or increasing resource production like Gold and Oil.. Each base can equip a maximum of four Hero NFTs and four Statue NFTs. Similar to bases, Statues and Heroes can be advanced and improved by upgrading them with RUBY.
These NFTs can be sold on the marketplace using only the MAVIA token as the base currency for exchange.. The Mavia marketplace also allows player to “rent out” their Bases, Heroes and Statues for passive income to players who are not able to purchase the NFTs outright.
Rent, Partner or Sell
Base and Land Economics
In Mavia, land is one of the most valuable assets. Initially, all land starts out with a Level 1 Base. As players develop their land and re-invest RUBY into upgrading their Base HQ level and building their walls, troops and other defensive structures, the land improves in value. As the base grows stronger, the value of the land increases, creating multiple options for potential monetization by the owner:
1: Playing the Mavia game
The owner of the land can use the base they own to battle other bases and players across the island of Mavia, and compete for RUBY. As the base increases in strength, the player can battle stronger opponents, also yielding higher rewards in the event of victory.
2: Selling Base on Mavia Marketplace
The owner of the base can sell the land on the Mavia marketplace for MAVIA token, passing down all of the progress made on the base to the new owner. Once a base or it’s buildings are upgraded, they will always remain that level or higher, making it permanently more valuable. There will be “Buy it Now” and “Auction” style sales available.
3: Renting out base
Similar to the “AirBnB” model, base owners are able to rent out their base according to a range of dates and a price set by the owner. The tenant of the base will pay upfront MAVIA to the owner, but will in turn be able to earn and keep all of the RUBY generated from using the base. This includes RUBY won from battling opponents, successful defensive battles, completing challenges, finding rare items, and other events which earn players RUBY. The owner of the base will not benefit from this RUBY being generated by the player, but will instead be generating passive income in the form of MAVIA from the rental agreement.
Additionally, the owner of the base will benefit from the base structures being improved or upgraded by the tenant, such as walls and turrets. The tenant will be inclined to upgrade these base structures, as they do not require RUBY, but instead only Gold and Oil, and upgrading these structures helps the base succeed in defending from invaders.
4: Base Partnerships
Partnerships are a good way for new players to enter the Mavia world, requiring no MAVIA payment upfront. Similar to Axie Infinity’s Scholarship program, Base Partnerships allow a base owner to lend their land to another player, expecting the player to use the base, continue to grow the army and improve the base, and also battle other players, yielding RUBY rewards. In return for this work done by the player, the base owner will keep a fixed % of the RUBY earnings, as an owner’s fee. The RUBY split is decided by the owner before the partnership is formed, and can be adjusted as time goes on, at the owner’s discretion.
The RUBY proceeds are automatically distributed to the player and owner immediately upon any RUBY earnings being realized in the game. This model also makes it possible for skilled players to demand a higher RUBY split form the owner, as their gameplay will likely yield higher earnings than newer or less-skilled players. On the flip-side, players who are new to the game and looking to work for RUBY in the form of a partnership will likely accept less of a split from the owner, in order to build up a name for themselves in the Mavia game.
Stay In The Loop
Heroes of Mavia can be a very hectic universe, with unexpected attacks being targeted at your base at any time. Although your bases can have automatic defenses set up, it is recommended to keep track of your base’s progress in real time and watch out for the training of your troops, constructions and storage levels.
The Mavia game can be connected with player’s Telegram accounts, allows players to receive push notifications for various events in the game, specified by the user.
Portability Features
Staying true to our decentralized nature, there are no email addresses and no passwords required to play Mavia, but instead, users can simply connect their Metamask, Trustwallet or crypto wallet to make a profile and begin playing the game. Once an account is loaded, the server checks for owned NFTs (bases, heroes and statues) and automatically loads the playable assets into the game to begin playing with.
Many players may own their Mavia NFTs on a primary wallet, such as a Metamask on their desktop. However, when that same player wishes to play Mavia on their phone, they could have a different wallet such as Trustswap, and would like to play using this wallet as well. For this reason, we created the ability to add an “authorized” wallet to your Mavia account, allowing up to three additional wallet addresses to login and play the Mavia game using your primary account’s NFTs. Authorized wallets cannot sell or transfer the NFTs from your primary wallet, but will only have permission to play the game with those NFTs.

The official launch date for Heroes of Mavia is yet to be announced. However, our roadmap shows Q3 2022 as the beta launch of the game, and Q4 for the official game launch.
