The HEROIC Tribe is a family of seven, going on eight, who has sold everything to travel the world with a mission to help everyone become more technologically secure.

Why are we doing this?

Together, we’ll be traveling to popular destinations around the world to film and document our experiences connecting with foreign communities and touring attractions. With the help of partnerships and local media along the way, we’ll be teaching others about cybersecurity and cryptocurrency through educational and networking events while giving away more than $1 million worth of cryptocurrency.

Our Story

Dad and Mom met in Utah while dancing the night away in college. It was love at first sight and they haven’t been separated since. Together they had 5 beautiful children and worked through many different jobs and businesses. Dad started HEROIC in 2013 and it grew by leaps and bounds. But as time went on he saw a greater need in the world. Cyber threats were growing and current solutions were just not good enough. Enter Guardian. Dad came up with a great idea to create Guardian to help protect the world. In 2017, Mom and Dad realized that the world needed more information about cyber threats. We thought and discussed as a family how to fix this problem. We discussed back and forth about traveling to share this information with the world, but we knew there would be a big sacrifice. Our lives would never be the same. Could we do it? We could just send Dad around the world and leave the rest of us lonely at home. But what kind of family life would that be for all of us? One night in November 2017 we sat down for a family discussion. Throughout this family discussion we discussed with the kids the possibility of leaving home and traveling around the world. The sacrifices would be great. No sports or other extracurricular activities, no friends, no normal school day and no permanent home. With kids ranging in age from 5–15, not everyone was excited at first. We discussed the benefits that we would have as a family and also the benefits to the world. Months went by with all of us just thinking about it. Everyone got more and more mentally prepared for such a possibility.

Then one day in May 2018, Dad and Mom decided it was go time. We wanted to leave by July 2nd. We would sell the house and all our stuff. We would cancel all of our activities and move away from a place we loved. So now here we are: a homeless family of 7, going on 8, traveling the world for cybersecurity and cryptocurrency.

About Our Family

Hello! I am Chad, the father of the HEROIC Tribe and CEO at HEROIC Cybersecurity. Chad is a passionate entrepreneur, an Ironman finisher, a technology nerd and a travel lover. He loves to race in triathlons and experience new adventures with the family. If there is a competition, he will do everything in his power to win it. If there is music playing, he will be dancing.

Hi everyone! I am Tammy, the mother of this crazy family. I am currently pregnant with our next and final baby, due in October. I am a runner and a reader. I love all things chocolate. I run our home and all the kids making sure they keep clean and happy. It’s a tough job, but somebody’s gotta do it. I can’t wait to no longer be pregnant and I see my toes again. I look forward to seeing the world as a family.

This is Broc, our big, strapping teenage boy. Luckily he is a great kid and hasn’t been a troublesome teen. He has been a good kid pretty much all his life. He is a really good boy and is always willing to help. He loves all sports and other active pursuits including wrestling with his siblings. He is a great teacher and has taught his brother baseball, one vs one style. This is great until your brother throws the ball at other innocent 6 year olds to get them out. He is also an amazing singer, dancer, and actor as seen by his wonderful days on stage. He will miss all the sports and drama opportunities this year, but is excited to taste food from around the world. Broc has one hollow wooden leg and is known as the garbage disposal. He always tries new food and rarely says he doesn’t like it, except pickles.

Bailey is our 2nd mommy, the queen of negotiations. If she sets her mind to it, she can get any of the kids to do almost anything. Bailey is very organized and clean. She is the best of all the kids, which isn’t actually a hard competition. She is always very helpful and loving, especially to Bella. Bailey loves to tumble and is self taught on almost all of her tricks. She is currently working on holding her handstand as long as possible, which is only about 10 seconds right now. She enjoys soccer and singing whenever possible. She was always trying to set up a soccer game with her friends or neighbors. She could finish off an entire jar of pickles all by herself if no one is watching. She is the best little actress and loves being on stage. She loves to write in her journal and always loves when I sit the kids down to write in their journal. While the other kids have written one or two pages, she has written eight. She loves to snuggle and get hugs. Bailey loves to spend time with horses at any opportunity. She is a big animal lover.

Brighton, our stuck in the middle child. Spunky and sassy, always teasing, loud and crazy, yet shy and reserved. She used to be a poor talker as a little kid and generally walked around with a grumpy look on her face at all times. Once she went to school in kindergarten she opened up and is now happy and crazy. She is a very fun middle child. Brighton loves soccer, non-fiction books, writing lists and making jokes. She really is a funny kid. She loves to cook and actually does a great job, except when she leaves the mess behind. She is terrified of ghouls and goblins and runs screaming. Brighton also loves arts and crafts, especially homemade things like bracelets and scarves. Brighton is not an animal lover and is terrified of all creatures great and small. She prefers to stand back and watch if there are animals involved.

Beckham, the troublemaker. Beckham is really good at poking and prodding all of his siblings to get them all riled up. He loves to do naughty things when he thinks no one is watching. He is always trying new things and is very persistent, when he wants to be. He loves all things sports including soccer, baseball, hockey, wrestling, and basketball. He loves to laugh and has a very infectious laugh. He often has a hard time playing a game or completing something because he is laughing so hard. He can almost always been seen racing around the bases in baseball with a huge grin and a giggle. He has an arm like an adult and runs super fast. He is very competitive with everything, often to the point of crying. Beckham is also a master builder and could easily have saved the day from Lord Business if needed. He can make a kid size helicopter our of plain computer paper or a guitar our of a saltine cracker box. If you ever can’t find Beckham outside playing look up in a tree or on top of a light post. Climbing is his favorite.

And now Bella the baby, at least for a few more months. She is feisty and grumpy, but can also be sweet and friendly. It all depends on her mood. She tends to be found in a dress or other sparkly attire at all times and love changing clothes all day long if she finds an outfit that tickles her fancy more. She plays alone really well because all her siblings are usually gone and sometimes really needs all that alone time. She is constantly having a conversation out loud between two imaginary creatures. She loves to sing and dance, but rarely will do it when asked. She loves to hug and snuggle also and is very much a clone of her big sister Bailey. She also loves animals like Bailey, perhaps more than Bailey. Everything is just “so cute!” She can often be convinced to go somewhere or do something if there is the promise of seeing and petting an animal. She is better with larger animals that she can’t squeeze to death though because she is very much in love with animals.

Our baby to be is a little boy due in October. We can’t wait to meet him and see what he will look like. Personality to be determined much later. So far he is pretty active and wiggly, just like the rest of them.
