Tesla, the best electric car maker in the world today. Autopilot Function is the main reason that why people want to buy Tesla cars.
Autopilot Function is the simple version of ultimate self-driving, which is enhanced help of driver. The basic of self-driving car is a combination of hardware and software.
For example, there are up to eight cameras , radar sensors at the front and twelve ultrasonic sensors around the Tesla Model S. These hardware provides the ability to sensor and see all the surroundings. Cameras are not enough to be able make a self-driving car. Inside the model, there is a powerful computer which runs Tesla-developed neural-net for vision, sonar, and radar processing software.
Let me simplify these steps. First, Cameras are going to collect data in real time and put these data into the computer. Then, running the software Tesla made inside, so the car will know the best decision in that particular situation. Therefore, this system is able to provides a view of the world that a human driver cannot see, which is seeing in every direction simultaneously and even more far away compare to human’s vision.
This ability gives people to see how self-driving goes, as I mentioned in my last blog, which talks about Waymo. Waymo provides an ultimate version of self-driving which is still a long way to go. However, Tesla gives the best solution in realism and people are using the technology to change their way of driving. I think that’s why lots of people want to buy Tesla cars, because you can feel the powerful of technology.
