It may not be as good as the real thing, but it is a big step forward toward the launch

Hexagon Finance, the premier multi-functional platform coming to Avalanche, is looking forward to providing users with a new exciting tool to try out — a fully functional DEX testnet.

The testnet includes 5 liquidity pools with different assets, covering Hexagon’s main functions such as trading, adding liquidity and mining. All tokens and assets are deployed only on Fuji for testing and can be fetched here.

We see the testnet — which involves only the decentralized exchange part of our platform, as the LBP protocol will rely on the Copper Launch user interface and the lending platform will come online only later — as a key step as we head toward our official launch.

Having a UI to interact with will allow users to learn about our product, how to maximize their benefits when trading and overall assist in getting ready for the real thing.

This is all the more so since Hexagon uses Balancer’s innovative model, which allows for far greater flexibility than its Uniswap counterpart, but is a fairly new invention in the DeFi space.

Multiple assets can be added to the same pool, for instance, creating simultaneous exposure. The percentage of each asset in a given pool may be modified to address the risk of impermanent loss. As the number of assets in a pool can go up to 8, there is also the opportunity to create pools that act like index funds and provide exposure to a whole category of crypto assets. (Think, for instance, all of the main tokens on AVAX, thus putting investors in a position where they can gain from the entire AVAX ecosystem’s growth.)

(You can find more details about the model in our documents, as well as here.)

Furthermore, the testnet will provide all of the Hexagon community with a chance to grow together, by getting involved in our upcoming bug hunt. This is a great way to anticipate the sort of issues that may hinder the final product so that we can fix any glitches ahead of time.

Community members are all welcome to join in the efforts to make Hexagon a better, more efficient platform, while the team will keep on working and testing to make sure the product is perfect before launch.

And the best part? You can get tokens for doing it if you find a valid bug! More information is coming soon.
