Falling for him

You look at each other and you can talk through your eyes. One side look is enough to get the message. One eyebrow raise is enough to share an internal joke. You could communicate all day just by looking at each other.
But talking is also so good. You feel free to talk about whatever comes to your mind, even your crazier ideas and schemes. And he just listens attentively to them as if they were the solution to make the world a better place. And he talks to you about his day, about his aspirations, and his fears. Sometimes it’s just about that episode he watched last night or a co-worker who is driving him crazy. But every conversation matters.
And when he holds you in his arms, oh that’s like you were safe from anything. His chest is warm and calming and you could just stay like that forever.
You didn’t fall in love at once, it was a little bit every day. It was because of an intense look, a shared joke, a reassuring hug, a supportive talk. It was that cup of tea he made you when you’re feeling sick, that time he remembered your favorite pizza, that silly key chain he brought to you from a work trip just because he remembered you.

Love is in the little things, the shared moments, the complicity looks.

It doesn’t play games, it doesn’t hurt you on purpose, it doesn’t make you feel bad. Love is as simple as if you had known that person your whole life and as if there was no one you would rather talk to, even if it is just about your day.
