Not a teacher. And this detail says a lot about her.

You won’t know when you take a glance at her once. But she is discovering what is love every day. She has understood there are people who find love in their mother’s hug. Plenty of others don’t have the same luck. Some meet their love in elementary school and build a life together.

There are people that travel thousands of miles to bump into their love in a hostel’s hall. And some that need a round trip to realize that love is in the next door.

She has been learning that recognizing love is a hard task. It is not simple to identify if there is a spark in someone else’s eyes — or in ourselves.

In the middle of her journey, some special people have taught her that love is quite different from a relationship. You need two engaged people to make a relationship work — it’s not about feeling, it’s hard work. And she saw a lot of couples that decided to build something together, even without love. Afterward, loves appeared. It Grew up. Like a flower. For others, it turned into something like a respectful partnership.

Yes, buddy… She already knows that love is not a precise science. But she’s doing her best to translate this world in a way that her mind can read.

A long time ago, she ran away from all kinds of affection. She saw love as a dangerous experience. Now, she has learned to accept and be thankful for all love that she receives. But she keeps clear what she can give.

She is engaged with herself. She is not the kind of person that will pretend to love someone else because he loved her first. Life taught her that love is not always reciprocal. It’s part of the game. She can’t and won’t force herself to love someone.

But, do you know, buddy? It is exactly what I love in her. This honesty. Everything she offers is true. And deep. And it is the best that she can offer for now.

I know she keeps her soul open to learn and discover brand new things. One day, I bet she will find love in an unexpected circumstance. Not in a bank queue or in a college class. I hope to hear an interesting and funny story about it.

She will find someone that will teach her on a practical basis what love does with our minds. Probably, she will be losing her sleeping for a while. But it’s okay, I’m pretty sure that she will drive him crazy anyway.

Because even being a learner, she taught me a lesson. She has helped me meaning what is love.

And I’ll be honest with you, buddy:

sometimes love hurts, but it has the most beautiful smile I have ever found.
