Introducing: Hey, Be Well!’s visual identity and the story behind it.

In many ways, what you show sends a stronger message than what you say. A well defined visual identity is coherent, harmonious and can communicate the brand personality in fast and intuitive way.

First impression matters. The first interaction with Hey, Be Well! a potential client will assess the visual materials first and foremost because our brains are wired to process the visual message faster than the written one.

Hey, Be Well!’s visual identity includes:

  2. Font
  3. Color Scheme
  4. Typography
  5. UI Styleguide
  6. Business Card and digital signature.

The number 7 — meaning

For Hey,Be Well! The number 7 represents the number of dimensions of wellbeing.

Although this number has a lot of symbolical meaning in all areas ranging from: mathematics, arts,religion, astrology, numerology, chemistry, biology, it is generally considered as a unique number.

Number 7 relates to the attributes of mental analysis, philosophy and technicality, science, logic, understanding, knowledge, study, education , evolution, stability, completion, refinement, silence, dignity.

The number 7 is the seeker, the thinker, the searcher of truth.The 7 doesn’t take anything at face value, it is always trying to understand the underlying, hidden truths. It knows that nothing is exactly as it seems and that reality is often hidden behind illusions. The number 7 is interested in the metaphysical because it allows them access to the ambiguous, abstract world of questions for which there are no clear answers. The purpose of the number 7 is to experience growth.

It is truly a holistic number.

Logo — Geometry

The logo construction is based on a heptagon enrolled in a circle, representing the 7 dimensions of wellbeing. To further elaborate on the geometrical shapes, the heptagon is the symbol of the universal balance, while the circle represents to represent unity, wholeness and infinity.

The Hey Be Well! logo can be seen from 2 points of view, depending on the viewer’s preference. The first interpretation is that each dimension is represented by a circle and our holistic health is represented by the connection between the circles. This showcases the idea that the 7 dimensions are interconnected and make up a whole. The second interpretation is focused on the negative shape of the logo which reveals the seven dimensions represented by the smaller circles. The dimensions are connected to the heptagon in the middle and reveal the same interconnection of the 7 dimensions.

Pattern

The patterns are geometrically constructed are directly derived from the shape of the logo, There are 14 lines used in the pattern construction. The pattern will never be used as a background, under the logo. Using a complex pattern can sometimes pose unforeseen problems regarding legibility and readability. Therefore, these patters were designed with specific use cases in mind: on large backgrounds without body text, on business cards, in particular schemes or charts.

Color Palette

The main colors that comprise the color palette of the Hey, Be Well! visual identity are Amethyst Purple and Rhodonite Pink.

Amethyst Purple

Combines the calm stability of blue and the fierce energy of red. The color purple is often associated with power, ambition, royalty, nobility, luxury. Purple implies wealth, extravagance, creativity, wisdom.

The color purple occurs rarely in nature and, as a result, is often seen as having sacred meaning. It is a strong color that has significant influence on the mind and body, seeing purple uplifts spirits, calms the mind, inspires spirituality and creativity.

Because purple is created by combining strong warm and cool colors, it retains both proprieties.

Purple or violet gemstones, such as Amethyst are believed to increase your imagination, remove perceived spiritual obstacles, calm confrontations, and re-energize. It protects the vulnerable and assists the humanitarian. It is the color of the evolved.

Rhodonite Pink

The color pink is the color of universal love in all it’s manifestations.Pink represents friendship, harmony, inner peace.

The color pink is caring, compassion and stands for unconditional love and understanding. It is also associated with giving and receiving care. Pink is insightful and intuitive with a strong emphatic nature.

In color psychology, pink is associated with hope. It is a positive color that inspires excitement and warmth. The color pink gives you the feeling that everything will go well and be well.

Most people have heard of the saying “everything is rosy” as a idiom used for success. It also indicates good health, as the saying being ‘in the pink’ goes.

Pink gemstones, such as Rhodonite are believed to bring about serenity, relaxation, acceptance, and contentment, as well to neutralize disorder or soften frustration.

Typography

Open Sans

Open Sans is a humanist sans serif typeface designed by Steve Matteson. Open Sans was designed with an upright stress, open forms and a neutral, yet friendly appearance. It was optimized for print, web, and mobile interfaces, and has excellent legibility characteristics in its letter forms.

It is the font of choice for the brand, due to these particular characteristics. Although Hey, Be Well! is focused on wellbeing, it also chooses to be transparent and friendly in it’s communication.
