Ah, Australia. Home to our dear sweet developer Thomas McNiven, and what one might expect to be a tropical paradise. When you get to Australia, you’ll see it as a tropical paradise getaway — up until you start to notice the numerous painful ways it can kill you. There is a god, and he surrounded Australia with water to protect you from the hell trapped within.

What Thomas is doing when he isn’t fixing bugs.

In an effort to convince Thomas to bring his talent to the US, let’s outline why I have a seemingly irrational fear of the land down unda.

1. Spiders

“Whoever authorized the evolution of the spiders of Australia should be summarily dragged out into the street and shot.” — Mira Grant

2. Snakes

“21 of the 25 most toxic snakes in the world are all from Australia” — Source

3. Kanga-fucking-roos

Look at this ‘roided out horse-man.

Our new Explore pages are live!

In an effort to make discovering new anime and manga that makes your heart go doki doki, we’ve released a new page that you can personalize to find the content you give a damn about.

Along with this update we’ve extended our categories to have considerably more granularity. Each category also has it’s own page, including a brief description and a handy little breakdown of what’s worth looking into of that category.

Click that little ‘Add to Favorites’ button to personalize your Explore page.

In the event that you’re looking for a category oddly particular, click that cute little ‘More categories…’ link in the sidebar to trigger the nifty modal, allowing you to dig deeper.

Here’s hoping this was compelling enough to bring Thomas over to the soul-crushing safety of the United States. On the next episode, we’ll recommend a few reasons you should be preparing for the great robot uprising.
