Use Kit to send personalized thank you emails
Get ready for your customers to be delighted!
One of the most effective ways of connecting with new customers is to send a personalized email thanking them for their purchase. These thank you emails create a special experience that helps make your customers feel appreciated. Kit can take on this task for you!
How it works
Thank you emails are one of Kit’s most popular features and one that I can’t recommend enough. Kit is prepared to send out two kinds of thank you emails — one to first-time customers, and another to repeat customers. After a customer purchases twice from you, Kit won’t send any other thank you emails to that customer.
The day after you’ve made a sale, Kit will message you asking for your permission to send thank you emails to your first time and second-time customers. All you have to do is say “yes” and Kit will do all the heavy lifting for you. It’s not unusual for customers to respond to these thank you emails to say how much they appreciate the note, and they’re easy and quick to set up.
Let’s get started
All you’ll need to do is review the two templates Kit’s prepared for you. You can change or update the copy to reflect your brand voice and add personalized details to your thank you emails. Once you’ve approved the email copy, you’ll be all set to start using this feature.
Log in to your Kit Dashboard and navigate to “Adjustments” and “Thank You Emails”. From there, you’ll enter the from email address, your name for the signature on the email, and the subject for the email.
Then, you can edit the message. My personal recommendation: keep it simple and sincere. These emails are purposefully designed as plain-text emails so they feel personal and not like a marketing email. Thank you emails can generate up to twice the open rates of general marketing emails — keep them pure gratitude and you’ll win.
TIP: Don’t adjust the text found in [brackets]. This is pre-populated HTML to customize each email with each customer’s information.
Click > save.
If you’d like to automatically send thank you emails, turn ON auto-send. Otherwise, Kit will ask you to send these emails when you make sales.
Next, toggle to the Repeat Customer Template and follow the same steps to customize that email.
Once you’ve reviewed both templates, you’re all set to use this simple but powerful feature!
