You Can’t Sell Me Anything (I Don’t Want To Buy…)

All the tropes, clichés and accepted truths about sales are wrong:

You can’t sell me anything I don’t want to buy.

When I went to buy my first car, the dealer used them all.

He told me that he’d love to give me a special deal…he’d have to check with his manager first.

He told me that there were barely any of the cars that I wanted left.

I’d have to “act now…”

It was all the same sales bullshit I’d heard a million times.

And it didn’t work.

I walked right out and found a dealer who treated me like a person and not a sales mark…
