To our partners and peers,

Now’s the time. Whether it is a peer, colleague, friend, family member or neighbor — check in, ping, tag, offline or text but make an effort to reach out. None of us could have predicted that toilet paper would be more valuable than Google stock but we all know what it feels like to be in need.

Understanding many of our partners and peers may be struggling to find their footing, we wanted to reach out and share with you some of our recent experiences and learnings from the pandemic.

In a time when our personal and work lives merge uncontrollably like the 110 and the 101 we are discovering so much about each other. Despite the distance, it’s brought us closer and we’ve been able to develop new partnerships and continue to unearth some of our proudest moments at hi5.agency. ✋

The boundaries of our creativity and pressure-tested processes that we have relied on for years have been exercised and expanded. I am pleased to announce that we have been completely off-site for the better part of two weeks ensuring the safety of our team, quality of our creative and the security of our projects. Our previous remote working protocols have broadened to all our groups within Strategy, Social, Production, A/V and Original Content while maintaining the strict security standards our industry demands.

For a creative agency powered by collaboration, we have all but mandated “video on” for meetings and brainstorm sessions. Seeing silent grins let us know that jokes met with the deafening silence of a conference call, are actually almost funny and appreciated. More importantly being able to identify when our team and friends may need an additional high five or compassionate conversation. All those random office drive-by’s, bull-pen drop-ins, unintentional outfit matching and finger points with accompanying self-assured head nods start to really add up and get missed.

While some of us have our hands full at home with family there are members of our staff, communities and neighborhoods that may be feeling isolated or disconnected. It’s important to maintain our regular personal and working routines where possible. Having something to look forward to can be soul saving when we don’t know what forward may look like. Create opportunities to connect and reach out.

As global conditions change daily, we are encouraging our hi5.agency leaders to not only ensure we can continue to service our partners and their campaigns but also keep an eye on the mental health and wellness of our teams and families.

We need each other. Let’s slap hands.
