Among many startups, business ideas solving customer hindrances have always been an exceptional concept. A startup working to fulfil basic needs gets public attention and support, and today we will present you the story of a similar startup that helps people with the problem of parking vehicles.

It is Amit Lakhotia’s Park+, a mobile application that solves the problem of finding parking areas. Read on to know this daring story of Amit’s venture Park+!

The Idea Behind Park+

After having a successful executive career with brands like MakeMyTrip, Paytm and Tokopedia, Amit decided to experience the risk of entrepreneurship. The idea of Park+ went up in Amit’s mind when he faced the problem of finding a parking zone for his vehicle at a Paytm office. He realized that parking spaces take up at least 10–15 minutes for a person to find them.

Save your parking time with Park+

Undoubtedly, parking is a big problem in India. People don’t find parking places and end up choking the streets, pathways and main roads. With this in mind, Amit launched Park+ in 2019 to give consumers options to park at different locations on the go. Amit said in an interview that the whole idea was to discover parking spaces, save time and effort.

How Park+ Helps In Finding Parking?

Park+ moves on a cluster-by-cluster approach for standing out as a startup. As Amit said, wherever the space is available, you need to create digital access to help consumers discover it.

The startup has partnered with various bike-sharing and valet parking services to reduce the hassle for long-distance parking spaces. Park+, until now, has helped provide real-time parking discovery, booking, payment, and tracking. The key is to digitize and simplify the experience.

What Next For Park+?

Although Park+ is doing good with the process, challenges like traffic congestion and the low effort to go online for parking are still long to go. However, the future seems to be in the global need for parking startups. The market share for parking expects to be over $100 billion globally and almost $5 billion in India.

As for Park+, the team is expecting to establish in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore. Amit also expects a rise in the number of cars in the country, leading to more use of Park+ app in solving the parking problem. The startup has also received a funding of $11 million from Sequoia India and Matrix Partners India. Along with this, recently, the parking app has also collaborated with AarogyaSetu app.

Undoubtedly, Park+ is going well with its efforts and plans to fulfil customer satisfaction. We extend our best wishes to the whole team of Park+.
