How many times has this happened to you that you are right on your schedule driving for an urgent meeting, but you reached that meeting late? It could have been due to heavy traffic, right? But the other aspect is that maybe you didn’t have that vacant Parking spot to park!
According to a recent global study of parking in metropolitan cities worldwide, an average city driver spends an average of 18–20 minutes searching for a good parking spot which results in wastage of fuel emission, time, congestion in streets and low productivity. That’s a disturbing fact! This is where ParkSmart comes to your rescue and has recently raised Rs. 1.5 crores for their venture.
How ParkSmart Came Into Picture?
ParkSmart is a Delhi based startup founded by five IIT Delhi graduates Prateek Garg, Vishva Sharma, Rahul Gupta, Rishabh Nagpal and Ratan Sethi in 2019. Rahul Gupta recalls that when he was 21 years old his worst nightmare was to search for a parking spot in Connaught Place and this became the sole reason for this venture.
ParkSmart allows people to search, reserve and pay for the available parking spot prior through the app. It works on the concept of implementing the innovative algorithm to collect data for parking.
Look, Book And Park
Parking has never been this easy. You just have to search for the nearest parking location on the app where you work or live and book the spot in advance. It will guide you with the proper directions for parking which is safe and contactless. The app will provide you with a barcode that will be scanned by the authority of parking and you can easily park your vehicle in no time. You can choose to either go cashless or pay with cash.
Looking at the increasing problem of parking and India adding up to 60,000 passenger vehicles on its streets every day, ParkSmart has collaborated with contractors, malls, societies in managing their parking lots remotely with revenue analytics, smart alerts, auditing tools etc and making them digitized with real-time information.
It not only saves you from everyday harassment but it saves your time, creates a good impact on the environment with the lower fuel emissions and saves your money by booking in prior.
As the brand’s tagline states Driving Towards Future Mobility, ParkSmart acts in the real-time scenario as it digitally sorts any unorganized parking space in less than 120 seconds.
Work In Progress Projects
ParkSmart has already joined hands with five cities and is working on a pilot project. Rahul Gupta stated that the brand is working with Gurgaon, Patna, Haridwar, Ludhiyana and Gujarat simultaneously. In Gurgaon, the app has allotted 2000 parking spots to offices and co-workers near Max shopping mall in sector 67. Patna Nagar Nigam has given their permission to start this project at 74 spots. In Ludhiana, they have permission for six spots.
In Haridwar, the app has suggested 8000 spots around Hari ki Pauri and finally in Gujarat their team is working near the Statue Of Unity.
The future of this app seems brighter with every minute because the problem of parking has been with us for a long time but ParkSmart is expanding its network gradually and will be a game-changer in the field of parking
