Monsters — big and small — can have a spooky time while raising money for charity this Halloween.

Wessex Cancer Trust is holding a 3km ‘Monster Dash’ at North Walls Recreation Ground, Winchester, on October 28.

The fiendish course is made up of 10 giant inflatables including the crazy tunnels, the squeeze and the jungle, and the charity wants you to complete it in fancy dress.

Entry to the event costs £12 for children, £19 for adults and £49 for a family of four, all come with a sponsorship target of £50. All money raised goes to help provide practical and emotional support to people living with cancer in Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight.

Those who complete the course will earn themselves a spooky medal, and those in the most spectacular fancy dress will earn themselves a prize.

Rachel Coombs, event manager at Wessex Cancer Trust, said: ‘Over 400 people swooped in for our 2017 Monster Dash, and we’d love to see even more ghoulish girls and ghastly guys get into the spirit of Halloween this year and raise as much money as possible to help local families living with cancer. There’ll also be music, food and Halloween-themed activities after the race, so our brave finishers will be able to rest their bones and enjoy some treats.’
