Sometimes it’s hard to tell why your friends share articles with you.

Sharon shared “The 40 Books That Saved My Life” because she was interested in the 3 books: Tiny Beautiful Things, Anything You Want, and Outliers.

Tom shared “Medium is not a Publishing Tool ” because he wanted to emphasize how Chris Dixon’s “Come for the tool, stay for the network” statement applied to .

Of course, none of these personal preferences carried over when they shared the article. While everyone can read the same content, it’s hard to know which text they’re actually interested in. Currently, whenever you want to share articles, you’re forced to manually explain “why” you shared the article and “what” section of the article is important.

The normal web is often an unfocused mess of text. With an overflow of published content, we’re reaching a state of Peak Content. It’s now more important than ever to filter out excessive noise content and focus only on quality content.

Highlighted Web Page — Focused Contextual (38 Highlights)

On the highlight web, you know exactly what sentences your friends thought were important. You can easily emphasize “1” sentence from a 100 page document.

Adding a highlighting layer on top of your content also makes your static content interactive. The sentences you want to emphasize can adapt depending on the situation.

With LINER you can highlight interesting sentences on the articles and share highlighted articles to your friends (even if they don’t have LINER installed themselves).
